#1 Reading the Writers and Artists Yearbook

So my first novel is all printed off and in the hands of my least viscous critic, my girlfriend. Time now to get started on my second novel while I give the first one an all important cooling off period before a final revision. Then it’s off to the agent. I download the 2016 edition of The Writers and Artists Yearbook today and have been reading all the articles on getting published. Sound advice.

Yesterday we went for beers with friend and fellow writer Mark Hillary whose encouragement inspired me to start this blog and set up new accounts on Facebook and Twitter.

It feels like the beginning of the beginning but I’m looking forward to seeing how things develop.

  2. A blog like this is an inspiration for people who love reading and those as well as who enjoy writing. Congratulations on this initiative, Micahel! Many of us will benefit from reading it.
