#12 Listen to Test Match Special

OK, so the theory is that it’s on in the background while I write. I don’t know about you but I can’t write in complete silence I need the radio on in the background and usually listen to Radio 2, except on  test match days when I turn on Radio 5 live to listen to the Test Match Special team talk about cricket and all manner of other things to fill time between balls, overs and sessions.

As I said this is just meant to be background noise but more often than not the cricket turns out to be more interesting than whatever I’m writing and the temptation for distraction is just too great. Especially during this test series in South Africa which has been particularly gripping. Come on England
